Excerpt of video installation at SIABC gallery in Staten Island

Amidst the explosion of protests in December 2014 demanding justice for the deaths of Eric Garner, Mike Brown, and Black victims of police violence around the country, I was invited to do a video installation at SIABC gallery in Staten Island. I made this video poem, “black matters” and projected it on the gallery’s exterior, visible to anyone passing on the street.
